A Closer Look At Some YouTube Channels...
I’ve posted before about YouTube channels I like and recommend. Let me take a moment to explain to you why I like them, and what benefit they give to any old school gamer.
Page 121 Tabletop Roleplay... he covers a lot of things, but my favorite vids from him are the ones which cover some aspect of AD&D... a monster, a magic item, a spell... you name it. He actually shows the entry, reads it aloud, comments on it, and always gives you something new to think about. I’ve played AD&D since the early 1980s, but this commentator repeatedly gives me new angles on this stuff that I never considered. Keep an eye on his channel... you’ll learn something every time.

No One of Consequence: just an average Joe like me who really likes the old, better written stuff from days of yore. He concentrates on play throughs for old modules like The Keep On The Borderlands, etc. He also talks a lot about industry figures and any news revolving around them. Give this guy some love, subscribe and watch his vids.

Daddy Rolled a 1 apparently has a lot of time on his hands. He makes vids reaching up to about 2 hours in length. He’s my guru, or one of, for how AD&D mechanics actually work. Much like Page 121 above, Daddy Rolled a 1 really breaks open the reference books and dissects rules to explain how a rule works and why it matters. A lot of food for thought in his vids. Load one up one evening, kick back and learn what Gary was thinking when he wrote the DMG.

Not exclusively AD&D, Diversity & Dragons is one of us though. He’s old school, sarcastic, and doesn’t like the way things are going in the hobby. He’s a late night talk show host on some UHF channel with a small budget but a lot of opinions. You’ll find yourself agreeing with him more than you disagree.
